Hypsoblennius proteus is a species of combtooth blenny found in the eastern central Pacific ocean, around the Revillagigedo Islands.[1] It was first named by Krejsa in 1960,[1] and is commonly known as the Socorro blenny.[2] It can reach a maximum length of 2.6 centimetres.[1]
